Emergency Department Technician/C.N.A./Full-Time

Summary

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Perform a variety of routine and advanced patient care tasks under the direction of nursing staff to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment and care of patients; performs a variety of clerical and technical tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Level I Nurse Assistant education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Registry as a Nurse Aide I with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property. Successfully pass the training on proper blood specimen collection-proper identification of specimen, sterile technique, proper labeling and sending to the lab within 30 days of being hired into this position. BCLS certification is required and must be maintained.
